HERE'S A SIMPLE 3-INGREDIENT FAIL-PROOF SLIME RECIPE FOR KIDS
I am not a diy pinterest homeschool mom with an epic inspo board. I am more of a BIY (buy-it-yourself) kinda homeschool mom on a tight budget and an even tighter schedule. DIYs are not my jam. So when a fun diy comes along that I can successfully pull off with my kids, then there is hope for all my closet BIY sistermoms! This is a simple, fun, inexpensive, and low mess project that doesn't require much prep or cleanup but is super fun for kids. And for all of you awesome diy moms, you can probably pull off this little project in your sleep! Enjoy and take lots of pictures because the kids will totally get into it. We've done this project more than once over the years and since we seem to add a new little one every couple of years, it's always fun, even for the older kids who enjoy helping their younger sibs.
Simplest Most Fail-Proof Slime Recipe for Kids Ingredients Per Child: 1 bottle of Elmers Sparkle Glue, 1 tsp of Borax, 1.5 cups of hot tap water
For an extra layer of "schooling", you can discuss the science behind your slime project and introduce terms like "polymers" and "molecules".
Get ready to have some mildly messy, kitchen-table kinda fun with your kids! ~Mix 1 bottle of Elmers sparkle glue with a 1/2 cup of hot tap water and stir. ~In a separate bowl, dissolve 1 tsp of Borax in 1 cup of hot tap water. I prefer using the gentler Pure Organic Borax when doing hands-on projects with my kids but regular Borax works just fine. ~Combine all of the above together and mush the liquid sludge together with your hands until you're able to make a snowball size ball of slime. ~Drain the excess water and Voila! ~Let your sparkly slime dry for about 5 minutes and have fun cuz you're done! I bought the multi-set glues so that each of my kids could have their own color. They loved it! Plus, it's cheaper than buying them individually at full price.
